Case Study
PetHaritam did not replace anything. Owners, vets and pet shops now sign in to the same platform and do completely different things on it.

PetHaritam is two things sharing one platform. On one side an owner gives each animal its own profile, posts photographs, follows other animals, messages other owners and puts up a notice when a pet is lost, needs rehoming or is available for breeding. On the other side a vet, a groomer or a pet shop keeps a listing with its services, products and gallery, collects ratings and comments, and receives enquiries from owners. Behind both there are screens for the operator, who reviews the businesses before they appear and moderates what gets reported. The work ran for 120 business days, counted from the signed scope document, and nothing existed before it.
People already post about their animals, but they do it from accounts built for people, where the pet is a subject the owner happens to post about. There was nowhere the animal itself was the thing with a name, a history and photos.
An owner looking for a vet, a groomer or a pet shop asks a neighbour or takes whatever a search throws up. There was no list of these businesses that anybody kept current or checked.
A lost animal gets posted to a neighbourhood group, and within a day it has scrolled past. The people most likely to have seen the animal are usually not in that group at all.
An owner and a business want different things, so they got different screens. An owner manages their animals. A business manages its listing, its gallery, the services and products it offers, and the enquiries that come back.
A directory is only worth reading if somebody checks what goes into it. A business fills in its own listing and it appears once it has been reviewed, which is also what lets the listings carry ratings and comments.
A lost animal, a rehoming and a breeding notice each need their own form and their own place. Someone searching for exactly one of those finds it, instead of scrolling a general feed hoping it appears.
Nothing was being replaced here. Before this there was no single place where an owner, a vet and a pet shop were doing their own thing on the same platform, and now there is.
A pet has its own profile, its own photographs and people following the animal rather than the owner. That is a different thing from a pet appearing on a personal account.
A vet or a pet shop keeps its own listing current and takes enquiries in the place the customer was already looking, rather than waiting to be recommended.
